American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Tech for a CVOR position requiring 2 years of experience and BLS certification.

Requirements

• Active state or compact (NLC) license required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted

Responsibilities

• Acute care hospital setting within the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
• 1 to 1 patient ratios
• Common cases include CABG, valve repair, pacemaker insertion, lead extractions, and lung procedures
• 10-hour day shifts with varied start times
• Call required, including 1-2 weeknights per week and approximately 1 weekend per month (end of shift Friday through 6:30 am Monday)
• Weekend and holiday coverage requirements are met through call
• First to float among staff
• Uses Cerner Surginet EMR
• Report to the Clinical Supervisor, with additional support from an OR Director and OR Manager
• Facility-provided scrubs
• One shift of floor-specific orientation with a preceptor
• 12 hours of general orientation provided
• Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility, including CHI and Dignity Health, within the past year; PRN employment through outside staffing firms is acceptable
• Facility may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
