American Traveler seeks a CVOR Surgical Technologist with cardiovascular experience for a night shift hospital position performing adult open heart surgeries.

The role involves a 3x12-hour night schedule (6:00pm-6:30am) on a CVOR unit, with on-call 24 hours monthly and EPIC EMR charting. Candidates should have CVOR experience, NBSTSA/NCCT certs, BLS, and required licenses; travel and local candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1.5 years of surgical technology experience required.
• CVOR experience required.
• BLS certification required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT national certification required.
• Trauma Level II experience required; Level I preferred.
• Experience with cardiovascular procedures including CABG, aortic aneurysm repair, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, and VAD preferred.
• License required if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Hospital CVOR unit focused on adult open heart surgery.
• Patient mix includes CABG, valve repairs and transplant cases.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (6:00pm-6:30am).
• Floats to Main OR when no CVOR cases are scheduled.
• On-call requirement of 24 hours per month.
• EPIC EMR used for charting.
• Perform surgical technologist duties supporting open heart and transplant surgeries including heart, kidney, liver, and lung procedures.
• Scrubs are provided.
• First-time travelers are accepted.
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate.
• Former employees must be separated for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler.
• Candidates with open or active background or license issues will not be accepted.
