Job summary

American Traveler seeks a Surgical Tech for a CVOR position requiring open heart experience and flexibility across multiple service lines. Day shift schedule is 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a 13-week assignment length and call requirements.

Open heart surgery experience is required. Candidates living outside a 50-mile radius are preferred; first-time travelers may be considered. Competitive housing and travel benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of surgical technology or have 10+ years of surgical technologist experience.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Surgical Technologist CST certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in a hospital CVOR unit with 8 OR suites.
• Day shift: 4x10 hour days, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• 13-week assignment length.
• Call 1–2 days per week and at least one weekend per month (Fri–Sun).
• Team floats between two campus locations; flexibility to work other service lines.

• Graduation from an accredited school of surgical technology (civilian or military), an Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology, or 10+ years of experience as a Surgical Technologist
• Current CPR certification required
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) through LCC-ST, NCCT, or Armed Forces program preferred but not required
• License required if applicable
• Open heart surgery experience required

• Hospital CVOR unit with 8 OR suites
• Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

• Call requirements of 1-2 days per week and at least one weekend per month (Fri-Sun)
• Team floats between two campus locations
• Must be flexible to work other service lines including general, gyn, vascular, urology, podiatry, ortho, and spine
• Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered for this position
• First-time travelers may be considered
