Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with vascular training for a CVOR position in an Open Heart unit. The role involves assisting with CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR, within a 2-3 room CVOR, with a team of RNs and CSTs on the day shift.

The candidate must have CVOR/hospital experience, BLS, NBSTSA, vascular training, and KS license if applicable. On-call duties and travel-friendly benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months CVOR Tech hospital experience.
• BLS certification required.
• NBSTSA Certification required.
• Must be vascular trained.
• Active KS state license required, if applicable.
• ACLS certification preferred.
• Open Heart and Cardiovascular experience preferred.
• Prior Meditech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• CVOR unit with 2 heart rooms and a possible 3rd.
• Staffed with 4 RNs and 3 CSTs, including 1 CVOR RN and 1 CVOR CST on day shift.
• No night shift, on-call coverage only.
• 1:1 patient ratios.
• EMR system is Meditech / CPN.
• Day shift hours from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• On-call required one weeknight per week and one weekend per month.
• Performs CABG, AVR, MVR, and TAVR procedures.
• Join a team supporting open heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures.
• Facility restarting its ECMO program, exposure to advanced cardiac cases.
• Ideal candidate is confident, a strong team player, maintains a positive attitude.
• Prioritizes patient experience and communicates effectively with staff and providers.
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible.
