Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a hospital Operating Room position with 3+ years of experience across multiple surgical specialties. The role expects robotic system experience (DaVinci, Mako, Globus) and proficiency with Cerner EMR in a six-OR facility.

The schedule is day shift, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday–Friday with rotating weekday off and call responsibility. BLS is required; CST certification is preferred; licensure as applicable and travel readiness are

Qualifications

• BLS certification is required.
• CST certification is preferred.
• License is required if applicable.
• 3+ years of surgical technologist experience.
• Experience with ortho, general, spine, vascular, urology, and OB procedures.
• Robotic system experience with DaVinci, Mako, and Globus.

Responsibilities

• Hospital Operating Room setting with 6 ORs.
• Supports ortho, general, spine, vascular, urology, and OB surgical cases.
• 1:1 patient ratio.
• Uses robotic surgical systems including DaVinci, Mako, and Globus.
• Cerner EMR used.
• Day shift schedule, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday with a rotating weekday off.
• Call required.
• No floating required.
• Prepare the operating room and sterile field, including setup of surgical equipment, supplies, and solutions.
• Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon during procedures.
• Manage the sterile field and specimens throughout surgery.
• Perform counts of sponges and supplies to prevent retained foreign objects.
• Scrubs provided.
• RTO blackout during the week of Thanksgiving and Christmas.
• Maximum RTO of 2 weeks.
• Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility.
