Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in a travel-capable role. The candidate must have robotics and orthopedic total joint experience, plus CST and BLS certification.

The position is in a 426-bed acute care facility within the Yale New Haven Health System, with 7:00 AM-7:30 PM day shifts, 3x12-hour blocks, and call requirements. Local travel is subject to a 75-mile radius rule.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience required.
• Strong robotics experience required.
• Orthopedic total joint experience required.
• Cardiac experience required.
• Level II Trauma Center experience required.
• 1 professional reference required.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital setting with 426 staffed beds.
• Level II Trauma Center.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 AM-7:30 PM), primarily Friday/Saturday/Sunday with possible scheduling on other days per department needs.
• Call requirements apply.
• Uses Epic charting system.
• Free parking available.
• Facility is part of the Yale New Haven Health System.
• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted.
• COVID vaccine and booster required with religious or medical exemptions only.
• Returning staff must have been gone for at least 2 years to be considered as a traveler.
• Facility can auto-approve up to 7 days of requested time off.
• Radius rule of 75 miles applies; local candidates generally not accepted unless local rate is requested.
