Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with Level 2 trauma experience for a night shift operating room assignment at a 268-bed hospital in Michigan.

The role includes advanced surgical care across multiple specialties, including orthopedic, vascular, neuro, gynecologic, and urologic procedures. You will work 12-hour nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, with every third weekend required, no on-call duties, and 36 hours guaranteed per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years CST experience required.
• Level 2 trauma experience required.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• NBSTSA or NCCT certification required.
• License required if applicable.
• Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years required.

Responsibilities

• Operate in a 268-bed hospital with Level 2 trauma center and 24/7 emergency care.
• Assist in OR procedures including structural heart, stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedics, and women’s health.
• Utilize minimally invasive techniques including robotic-assisted surgery.
• Work with Epic EMR system for documentation and charges.
• Night shift: 12-hour shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM; every third weekend.
• Maintain sterile fields and properly set up instruments; ensure correct patient charges.
• Adhere to hospital dress code and policy on travel and licensure reimbursements.

• 268-bed full-service hospital with 24/7 emergency care, a Level 2 trauma center, and a Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Operating Room unit providing advanced surgical care including structural heart, stroke, spine, cancer, orthopedic, and women's health procedures
• Utilizes minimally invasive surgical techniques including robotic-assisted technology

• Demonstrate knowledge of surgical procedures and problem-solve in relation to procedures performed
• Verify items on physician preference cards and ensure accurate patient charges for supplies
• Properly use, assemble, clean, and sterilize equipment and instruments for surgical procedures
• Maintain and monitor the sterile field, recognizing breaks in technique
• Set up sterile fields with instruments in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate accounting of medications, sponges, instruments, and sharps per policy
• Hospital-provided dress code
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius for consideration, as local candidates are not considered
• No more than 5 days of RTO can be requested during the assignment
