American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with strong Neuro, Spine, and Total Joint experience for a hospital OR position.

Responsibilities include supporting Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic and DaVinci robotic cases with an on-call schedule and possible travel within the health system. The role requires CST and BLS certifications, and experience in teaching hospital environments.

Qualifications

• Must have NBSTSA CST certification and BLS from AHA.
• Minimum 2 years OR experience; 3+ years preferred.
• Strong Neuro, Spine, and Total Joint experience required.
• Experience with DaVinci robotic surgery.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• License required if applicable.
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred.
• Trauma Level II experience preferred.
• 1:1 patient ratio experience.

Responsibilities

• 5x8 shift schedule with start times 0645–2330; weekends included.
• On-call requirements apply; occasional cross-campus travel within health system.
• Maintain aseptic technique and surgical equipment documentation.
• Assist in preparing for surgeries and ensure quality patient care.
• Perform duties across vascular, orthopedic, neuro, general, and robotic surgeries.
• Adhere to Universal Protocol and specimen handling guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work in a hospital surgical services department supporting Neuro, Spine, Orthopedic, and DaVinci robotic cases
• 5x8 shift schedule with variable start times ranging from 0645 to 2330
• Weekend rotation included in the schedule
• On-call requirements apply
• Occasional floating to other campus locations within the health system
• Epic charting system preferred
• Assist in preparing for and during surgical procedures according to department and hospital standards to ensure quality patient care
• Perform routine and delegated surgical technologist duties across a wide range of specialties including vascular, orthopedic, neuro, general, and robotic surgery
• Maintain aseptic technique, sterilization/disinfection standards, and proper equipment documentation
• Participate in Universal Protocol (time out) procedures and specimen handling
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Return staff/travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate within a 50-mile radius
• Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
• First-time travelers are not specified for consideration in this role
