Job summary

Classic Vacations is seeking a Travel Sales Specialist to join our virtual team. You will assist customers in planning, organizing, and booking travel experiences, using your knowledge of destinations, airlines, and accommodations to create memorable itineraries.

The role requires strong customer service, sales skills, and the ability to manage bookings end-to-end. You will work in a fast-paced, virtual environment, with opportunities to upsell services and build lasting client relationships.

Qualifications

• Education in tourism, hospitality or related field is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of travel destinations, airlines, hotels, and travel products.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, active listening.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service by understanding and addressing travel needs, budgets, and preferences.
• Stay up-to-date with travel trends and destinations to offer personalized recommendations.
• Be well-informed about travel packages, flights, accommodations, and insurance.
• Create customized itineraries and manage bookings from planning to changes/cancellations.
• Coordinate bookings across flights, hotels, and activities to meet client requirements.
• Help customers find options within budgets and provide cost-effective recommendations.
• Promote travel services and upsell products like tours and insurance.
• Address issues, resolve problems, and follow up with clients to build relationships.
• Cultivate relationships with key clients and stakeholders, acting as primary contact for strategic accounts.
• Stay informed of market trends to tailor offerings and meet ambitious sales targets.
