American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry assignment in Washington. The ideal candidate has travel nursing background, an active WA license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, and Epic EMR experience.

Duties include direct patient care on a cardiac/telemetry unit with 1:3–4 ratios, night shifts, and potential unit floating. Responsibilities emphasize assessment, planning, and collaboration with the care team.

Responsabilidades

• Care for cardiac/telemetry patients requiring continuous monitoring in stepdown.
• Maintain patient ratios around 1:3–4 and provide direct nursing care.
• Document and monitor care plans; coordinate with the interdisciplinary team.
• Work night shifts: 3x12 hours, 18:30–07:00, with possible floating.
• Adhere to hospital standards and participate in quality initiatives.

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/Telemetry position requiring prior travel experience and night shift availability.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of recent Stepdown/Telemetry experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skills required include IV therapy, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, and cardiac drip management
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, and oxygen administration
• Experience managing neurological conditions such as CVA, seizure disorders, and traumatic brain injury
• Two professional references from the past 2 years required, with at least one from a supervisor
• Proof of WA license application required if active license is not yet in hand

Responsibilities

• Stepdown unit within a hospital setting
• Cardiac and telemetry patient population requiring continuous monitoring
• Patient ratio of 1:3-4
• Epic EMR experience required
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours from 18:30 to 07:00
• Floating required as needed within the health system
• Provide direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient and family needs
• Document patient care according to established hospital standards
• Direct and delegate care to other team members as appropriate
• Participate in ongoing professional development and quality improvement initiatives
• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Previous PeaceHealth employees must have been separated from the health system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Candidates with more than one DUI are not eligible for consideration
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• RTO must be disclosed and approved prior to contract signing, with limits depending on offer type
• Start date may be delayed up to 8 weeks if WA licensure is still in process
