Job summary

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring 3+ years of recent stepdown experience and telemetry skills.

Active RN license (GA or compact) with BLS/ACLS, plus proficiency in telemetry, IV therapy, and cardiac care, is required. Day shift, 1:5 ratio, Cerner EMR, travel housing and pay support provided.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (GA state or compact) required, or proof of pending licensure.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 3+ years of recent Stepdown experience.
• Telemetry monitoring, IV starts, IV therapy/phlebotomy skills.
• Experience with cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Vasoactive and cardiac drip titration preferred.
• Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, and oxygen administration preferred.
• Previous charge experience preferred.
• Driver's license and updated Nursys verification for residency

Responsibilities

• Stepdown/CPU unit in hospital setting.
• Maintain 1:5 patient ratio.
• Cardiac telemetry, MS/Tele, neurological/CVA patients.
• Day shift 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; every other weekend and holiday coverage.
• Use Cerner EMR for patient care documentation.
• Provide direct patient care including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory management.
• Travel experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Stepdown/CPU unit within a hospital setting
• 1:5 patient ratio

• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
• Every other weekend (EOW) required
• Holiday coverage required
• Cerner EMR used
• Provide direct patient care in a stepdown/CPU environment including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory management
• Royal blue scrubs required (not provided)
• Previous travel experience preferred but not required
• Minimal RTO accepted, especially around holidays
• Local candidates residing within 31-50 miles of the facility accepted at local rate
• Candidates residing less than 30 miles from the facility are not accepted
• Up to 8 hours of non-billable training modules required prior to start, completed via HealthStream
