Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Stepdown RN for a 13-week night shift contract in Missouri, requiring MO or compact RN license and 1+ year of PCU/stepdown experience, with Epic proficiency.

The role supports cardiac, respiratory, renal and post-procedural patients in a high-acuity hospital setting, with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, night hours, and travel opportunities.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of stepdown/PCU nursing experience
• Prior charge nurse experience
• Community hospital experience
• Epic charting experience
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, cardiac drip management, and dysrhythmia interpretation
• Line care, IV therapy, and blood product administration
• Respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, chest tubes, oxygen administration
• Wound care, isolation precautions, and insulin drip titration
• Cardiac monitoring post-cath/angiogram, pacemakers, and sheath removal

Responsibilities

• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to cardiac, respiratory, renal, and post-procedural patients
• Maintain patient ratio 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
• Every other weekend on assignment
• Epic charting system used for documentation
• Must shave facial hair to ensure proper mask seal for respirator fit testing
• CAPRs and PAPRs are not provided and personal CAPR/PAPR use is not permitted
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Work 4 of 8 designated holiday dates around Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates living within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted
• Travelers cannot work more than 1 year at this facility and must take a 6-month break before returning

• Experience with cardiac monitoring post-cath/angiogram, pacemakers, and sheath removal

Responsibilities

• Patient ratio of 1:4
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:00)
