Aufgaben

• Provide step down level nursing care with potential oncology and cardiac monitoring
• RTO requests limited to 10 days, discuss after offer with onsite manager
• Travelers are first to float when needed
• Must be available for initial two weeks of assignment
• Prior Bronson travelers may return after 6 months; former permanent staff after 1 year
• Local candidates accepted at same rate with no radius restrictions
• First-time travelers welcome

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Step Down unit position requiring an active MI RN license and 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience.

Requirements

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and NIHSS
• ACLS, OCN, ONC or ONS, and ONS/ONCC certifications preferred
• 2 years of PCU/Stepdown experience required
• ONC or ONS experience a plus
• Starting IVs required
• Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Proficiency with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and titration of insulin drips
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs/phlebotomy
• Supervisor-level reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Step down unit caring for step down and med surg patients
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5
• Works every other weekend
• No call requirements
• Floating required to other med surg areas, including AU and ER, to care for med surg patients
• Uses Welch Allyn vital sign towers, Sigma IV pumps, and EPIC for documentation
• Provide step down level nursing care to med surg patients with potential oncology and cardiac monitoring responsibilities
• Must be available for the first two weeks of the assignment
• RTO requests limited to no more than 10 days, and any requests made after offer must be discussed with the onsite manager
• Travelers are first to float when needed
• Proof of flu vaccination required for consideration, with exemption requests submitted within 48 hours of signing
• Previous Bronson travelers may return after 6 months; previous permanent staff may return after 1 year
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restrictions
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
