Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced RN for a Stepdown/PCU assignment in Wisconsin. The role requires 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience and Epic proficiency.

You must hold an active WI license, BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale, and complete Nursys verification. The 13-week assignment includes 7:00–19:30 shifts, EOW/EOH rotations, and on-site or nearby facility support.

Qualifications

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of PCU or Med-Surg Telemetry acute care experience required
• Travel nursing experience required
• Nursys license verification required within 30 days prior to start
• US Social Security Number and US home address required

Responsibilities

• PCU setting within an acute care hospital
• May be placed on PCU or Med/Surg/Telemetry unit based on traveler's skills
• 13-week assignment with 07:00-19:30 shift schedule
• Every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) rotation
• Uses Epic EMR
• Floating required within skill set onsite or to sites within 40 miles
• Provide stepdown-level nursing care to PCU, Med-Surg, or Telemetry patients as needed based on facility demand
• Candidates should only be submitted to one Ascension position system-wide
• Travelers should discuss extension opportunities with their manager at least 45 days before assignment end date
• COVID vaccination is not required
• Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate under facility radius rules
