Qualifications

• Active WA or compact RN license in hand at submission.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred.
• Minimum 1 year Cardiac Telemetry/PCU experience.
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills.
• IV therapy and line management experience.
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years.
• Must disclose any prior Providence employment history.

Responsibilities

• Floating to like units within scope; holidays coverage required.

American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring cardiac telemetry experience and a WA or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Telemetry/PCU experience required
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula, and oxygen administration
• IV therapy/phlebotomy skills including central line, peripheral line, and PICC line management
• Experience with heparin protocols and non-titrating cardiac drip management
• Two supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years required
• Must provide response regarding any prior employment history with Providence facilities

• Every other weekend coverage required
• Provide direct patient care for a cardiac telemetry/PCU population including monitoring, medication administration, and emergency response
• May float between sister facilities within the Providence system as needed
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO requests must be submitted upfront prior to offer; post-offer RTO requests may not be accommodated
• Former Providence permanent employees must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
• First-time travelers are not required to have prior travel experience for consideration
