Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Missouri with cardiac experience. The role requires managing high patient ratios and proficiency with Epic EMR. Active MO or compact RN license and current BLS/ACLS are required.

Night shifts are 3x12-hour, with every other weekend and a holiday rotation. Candidates must reside within 75 miles of the facility and have at least 2 years in cardiac/PCU settings.

Qualifications

• Active MO or compact RN license required, perm license in-hand (temp licenses not accepted).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required, NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac/PCU experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.

Responsibilities

• PCU/Telemetry unit caring for cardiac patients including cardiac drips, cardiothoracic surgeries, chest pain, and post cath lab interventions.
• High patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:6.
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00).
• Every other weekend required.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and respond to rapid response/code team activations as needed.
• Perform skills such as central/peripheral line care, PICC line management, chest tube care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and wound care.
• Manage cardiac and vasoactive drips (titration preferred).
• Care for patients pre/post cardiac catheterization, angiogram, MI, and cardiac surgery.
• Limited RTO during holidays with holiday rotation required.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility.
• First-time travelers not considered for this role.
