The role includes night shifts (19:00–07:30), 1:4 patient ratio, weekend coverage, and floating to sister facilities. Epic EMR experience and WA RN license are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Prior travel nursing experience required.
• Epic charting experience required.

Aufgaben

• Stepdown Cardiac PCU unit caring for MI, rule-out MI, arrhythmias, post open-heart, vascular surgery, CAD, heart failure, and post cath lab patients.
• Care for stroke patients with cardiac involvement and structural heart patients (VAD, TAVR).
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30).
• Patient ratio 1:4, up to 1:5 at midnight.
• Every other weekend required; float to sister facilities.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP, trach care, sternal precautions.
• Administer blood products, perform cardioversion/defibrillation, manage epicardial pacers.
• Care for LVAD/open-heart patients 24-28 hours post-op.
• Interpret and manage telemetry dysrhythmias; remote monitoring.
• Must commit to holidays; first-time travelers not considered.

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Stepdown Cardiac PCU position requiring 2+ years of telemetry experience, Epic proficiency, and prior travel assignment experience.

Requirements

• Active WA or Compact RN license required, must be in hand at submission
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required; VAD and TAVR experience preferred
• Surgical telemetry and vascular (groin/radial) band management experience required
• Strong IV skills required, including starting and maintaining IVs, central line care, and port access/management
• Experience with chest tubes, sternal precautions, and post open-heart care required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Full SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Responsibilities

• Stepdown Cardiac PCU unit caring for MI, rule-out MI, primary arrhythmia, pre/post open-heart, vascular surgery, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and pre/post cath lab patients
• Also cares for stroke patients with cardiac involvement and specialized structural heart patients (VAD, TAVR)
• Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Patient ratio is 1:4, with up to 1:5 at midnight
• Every other weekend required
• Floating required to like units, including sister facilities within the system
• Epic EMR experience required
• Responsibilities include breathing treatments, chest tube setup/care, CPAP/BiPAP management, trach care, and sternal precautions
• Administer blood and blood products, perform cardioversion/defibrillation, and manage epicardial pacers
• Provide care for LVAD patients and open-heart patients 24-28 hours post-op
• Interpret and manage telemetry dysrhythmias both on-unit and via remote monitoring
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront; post-offer requests may not be granted
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Former permanent staff at this facility may return as travelers after a 3-month separation, provided they do not reside within 50 miles of the facility
• Candidates must disclose any prior work history with Providence facilities, including dates and locations
• Local candidates accepted at a lower bill rate within a 50-mile radius
