The role requires unrestricted KY or compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within 3 months, and NIHSS with annual dysrhythmia validation within 6 months. ADN/ASN is required; BSN preferred. 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate 20-bed Progressive Care Unit with continuous central telemetry monitoring.
• Care for patients ages 16+ with moderate to potentially severe instability.
• Manage cardiac medication infusions and sheath management.
• Support patients pre/post cardiac catheterization or interventional procedures.
• Work day shifts: 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week; 36 hours weekly at 0.9 FTE.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document per hospital policy.
• Coordinate admission, transfer, discharge activities and discharge teaching.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification required

• NIHSS certification and Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required within 6 months of start
• ADN or ASN required; BSN preferred
• No prior experience required
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and use of medical equipment
• Last 4 digits of SSN and month/day of date of birth required for consideration

Responsibilities

• 20-bed inpatient Progressive Care Unit with continuous central telemetry monitoring
• Cares for patients ages 16 and up with moderate to potentially severe physiological instability
• Manages cardiac medication infusions and sheath management
• Supports patients pre/post cardiac catheterization or interventional cardiac procedures
• Day shift schedule, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week
• 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document in accordance with scope of practice and hospital policy
• Coordinate admission, transfer, and discharge activities including discharge teaching and case management coordination
• Deliver individualized, patient and family-centered education and care planning
• Set priorities and delegate tasks appropriately among team members while overseeing delegated care
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities such as patient satisfaction, falls prevention, and documentation audits
• Promote a positive, healing-focused team environment
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate
