American Traveler is seeking a night-shift RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry unit in Kentucky. Active KY or compact RN license and BLS certification are required. ADN/ASN is required, BSN preferred.

Additional certifications (Dysrhythmia, NIHSS, ACLS) are expected within specified timeframes. Last 4 SSN digits and DOB required for consideration. The unit handles post-op CABG/cardiac surgery patients, CHF and complex cases with 20 beds dedicated to telemetry.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in cardiac care is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed telemetry unit (progressive care).
• Perform patient assessments, treatments, and care coordination for telemetry patients.
• Facilitate admission, transfer and discharge with patient and family education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately.
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures.
• Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a; weekends/holidays as needed.

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit requiring a KY or compact RN license and BLS certification.

Requirements

• Active, unrestricted KY or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• ADN or ASN required, BSN preferred
• Annual Dysrhythmia Competency Validation required
• NIHSS certification required within 3 months of start
• ACLS certification required within 12 months of start
• No prior experience required, though cardiac experience is a plus
• Last 4 digits of SSN and MM/DD of DOB required for consideration

Responsibilities

• 20-bed telemetry unit with 3 beds dedicated to progressive care population
• Specializes in post-op CABG, cardiac surgery, valve replacement/repair, and vascular surgery patients
• Also cares for CHF and moderate-risk chest pain patients with multiple co-morbidities and complex care needs
• Patients are transferred from ICU, ED, and PACU
• 3rd shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
• Weekends and holidays required as needed
• Provide direct patient care including assessments, treatments, and care coordination for progressive care and telemetry patients
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities with patient and family-centered education
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately to other care team members
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement activities and core measures
• Must reside within 75 miles of the facility, with local candidates accepted at a lower rate
