Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Progressive Care Unit RN with a strong cardiac background for a night shift assignment requiring float coverage across multiple hospitals.

The role features a 7:00 PM–7:00 AM night schedule, 1:4 patient ratio, and float to multiple facilities. Active NJ or Compact RN license with Nursys verification is required, plus BLS/ACLS and 2+ years PCU experience. NIHSS preferred, with vaccination and safety requirements in place.

Qualifications

• Active NJ or Compact RN license with Nursys verification.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required; NIHSS preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience with a strong cardiac background, including last 12 months.
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam within 72 hours of signing (2 attempts max).
• IV therapy/phlebotomy, blood product administration, central and peripheral line care.
• Experience managing cardiac drips (no titration).
• Respiratory support including nasal cannula, oxygen, non-invasive airway management.
• Isolation precautions and PPE knowledge.
• Must be clean shaven for fit testing.
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required with no exemptions.

Responsibilities

• Progressive Care Unit (PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown) setting with cardiac monitoring and telemetry patients.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 PM-7:00 AM).
• Every other weekend and every other holiday.
• Float across 5 hospital locations (Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL).
• May float to ICU to care for downgraded PCU patients; Epic experience preferred.
• Provide cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and rapid response activation.
• Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing.
• RTO requested at consideration; no RTO during first week.

• Complete pre-employment labs within 48 hours of signing
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; requests after submission will not be accepted, and no RTO is allowed during the first week of assignment
• First-time travelers accepted but not preferred
• Local candidates within 50 miles of the hospital are subject to a reduced local rate
