American Traveler, LLC. is seeking an experienced RN for a Telemetry Float role in California. Requires recent PCU/Stepdown/Telemetry experience, CA RN license, BSN, and active BLS/ACLS with NIHSS preferred. Must have travel assignment history and trauma Level II experience.

Responsibilities include floating across UCSF facilities, 19:00–07:30 nights, 1:5 ratio, potential assignments to ED or PACU, and Epic charting. Floats up to 75+ mile radius; RTO disclosure required upon offer.

Qualifikationen

• Active CA RN license at time of submission.
• BSN required.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (NIHSS preferred).
• 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU and telemetry RN experience.
• Trauma Level II experience.
• Teaching hospital experience reflected in employment history.
• Prior completed travel assignment within past 12 months.
• IV therapy, phlebotomy and starting/maintaining IVs.
• Experience managing cardiac drips, vasoactive drips and PCA.
• Telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and rapid response/code teams.

• Minimum 2.5 years of recent TCU/Stepdown/PCU and telemetry RN experience required, consistent with home unit assignment (float experience not sufficient)
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required and must be reflected in employment history
• Prior completed travel assignment within the past 12 months required
• Experience with IV therapy, phlebotomy, and starting/maintaining IVs required
• Experience managing cardiac drips, vasoactive drips, and PCA requiredExperience with telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, and use of rapid response/code teams required

Responsibilities

• Float pool position requiring flexibility to work across multiple UCSF Facilities and units
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-7:30)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• May be assigned to ED for boarded patients and assist with tasks
• May be assigned to PACU for boarded patients
• Epic charting system preferred
• Provide telemetry-level nursing care with the ability to float to various departments and units as needed
• Floating may extend to other facilities within a 75+ mile radius if resource meets job specifications
• Any prior employment with University of California medical facilities or their acquired facilities must be disclosed, including dates, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility review
• Two professional references from the most recent employer required at time of consideration
• All RTO must be disclosed and approved by the manager at time of offer; no additional requests accepted mid-contract and RTO is not permitted within the first two weeks of the assignment
• Local candidates accepted at the same pay rate as travelers
• No first-time travelers considered for this position
• Travel pairs may be allowed but generally not on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
