American Traveler is seeking an experienced Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week day shift assignment in California. CA RN licensure and Epic proficiency required; prior travel experience is essential.

The role features a 3x12-hour day schedule (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) with a 1:4 patient ratio across a 5-hospital system. Applicants must have 2+ years in telemetry, and current BLS/ACLS/NIHSS certifications, plus Epic or Cerner experience.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in hand at time of consideration (Temp or Perm, no EMSA).
• Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of concurrent telemetry experience required.
• Epic or combined Epic/Cerner experience within the last 6 months required.
• Prior travel nursing experience required, including 6+ months of continuous recent travel assignments.
• Community hospital experience required.
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred.
• 1 supervisory-level professional reference required.
• Valid copies of all required certifications must be provided for consideration.

Responsabilités

• Work in the Telemetry unit of a hospital setting.
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
• 1:4 patient ratio.
• May be required to float to like or lower acuity units across a 5-hospital system, at or below skillset.
• Required to work 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week cycle.
• Required to work at least one holiday, including the holiday weekend.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Provide cardiac telemetry nursing care including monitoring and management of dysrhythmias and use of rapid response/code teams.
• Experience with neurological, respiratory, cardiovascular, and IV therapy conditions preferred.
• Experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and insulin protocols preferred.
• No first-time travelers considered for this role.
• Returning staff and travelers may reapply after a 1-year separation from the facility.
• Maximum 7 days of RTO permitted, with no additional requests after consideration.
• Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius of the facility to be eligible, except LVNs/MAs.
• Candidates who have been on assignment in San Diego for 9+ months are considered local and are not eligible.
