Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift assignment in California. Requires CA RN license, EPIC EMR, and at least one year of telemetry experience. Two supervisor references and prior travel nursing experience are required.

Responsibilities include night 3x12s, cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, line care, and emergency response. Local candidates can be considered at the same pay rate; travel perks available.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license in-hand at time of application.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications in-hand at time of application.
• Minimum 1 year telemetry and 1 year acute care experience.
• EPIC EMR experience reflected in work history.
• Two supervisor references required at time of application.
• Prior travel nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry unit within a PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown setting.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-07:30.
• Floating as needed and weekend coverage.
• Cardiac monitoring with dysrhythmia interpretation.
• Emergency response with Rapid Response/Code teams.
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration.
• Central and peripheral line care and management.
• Management of cardiac drips (no titration).
• Oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway management.
• Isolation precautions and PPE usage.
• Provide telemetry-level nursing care and emergency response.

• Two supervisor references required at time of application
• Prior travel nursing experience required
