Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Telemetry RN for a night shift observation unit in Massachusetts. The ideal candidate will hold an active MA RN license, with BLS and ACLS certifications, and have Telemetry experience.

Responsibilities include managing a 10-bed telemetry unit, 3x12 hour nights, weekend coverage, and on-call shifts. Cerner or Epic experience is required for traveler consideration.

Qualifications

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required, 3 years strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Telemetry observation unit for patients, typically staying 24-48 hours.
• Occasional overflow surgical patients.
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30).
• Weekend shifts 2-3 in a 6-week period (Sat/Sun).
• On-call 5-6 night shifts in a 6-week period (22:00-07:00).
• Floating within scope to Med/Surg Tele.
• Uses Cerner charting system.

American Traveler is hiring a Telemetry RN with strong independent Tele experience and MA licensure for a night shift observation unit.

Requirements

• Active MA RN license required and must be in hand at time of consideration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required, 3 years strongly preferred
• Epic or Cerner experience required for first-time traveler consideration
• Strong ability to function autonomously in a fast-paced observation setting
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, emergency response, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

Responsibilities

• 10-bed telemetry observation unit for patients being ruled out for various medical diagnoses, typically staying 24-48 hours
• Occasional overflow surgical patients
• No medication drips administered on this unit
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (19:00-07:30)
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 shifts in a 6 week period (Saturday/Sunday)
• On-call requirement of 5-6 night shifts in a 6 week period (22:00-07:00)
• Floating required within scope to Med/Surg Tele
• Uses Cerner charting system
• Acute care hospital setting with 127 staffed beds
• Scrubs of any color accepted, no jean material
• Free parking available on-site or in a nearby lot
• First-time travelers considered if candidate has 2-3 years of experience and either Epic or Cerner experience
• Local candidates accepted
• Finalized RTO must be submitted upfront, as no additional RTO can be added after contract signing
• Previous staff must wait one year before being eligible to return as a traveler
