Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for an Urgent Care assignment in North Carolina. The role requires a valid RN license (NC or Compact) and at least 2 years of RN experience, with Behavioral Health Urgent Care experience preferred.

Epic EMR experience and BLS are required, and a compliance EKG exam must be passed. The schedule is day shift, 3x12s from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with weekend rotation and holidays.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (NC or Compact) in hand at time of consideration.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required.
• Behavioral Health Urgent Care experience required.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (Pass/Fail, two attempts allowed).
• Current driver’s license required for address verification.

Responsibilities

• Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis units care.
• Treats adolescents, adults, and pediatric patients.
• Diagnoses include MDD, Bipolar, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective, and Substance use disorders.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM.
• Weekend rotation and holidays as needed.
• May float between Urgent Care and FBC units and other Cone Health campuses.

• Behavioral Health Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) units
• Treats adolescents, adults, and pediatric patients
• Patient diagnoses include MDD, Bipolar disorder, Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective disorder, and Substance abuse
• Patient ratio of 1:6
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend rotation and holiday coverage as needed
• Required to float between Urgent Care and Facility-Based Crisis units, and potentially to any Cone Health campus
• Urgent Care setting serves walk-in and IVC-status patients with short-stay volumes up to 25 per day in a fast-paced environment
• Facility-Based Crisis (FBC) Unit serves as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization for individuals with mental illness or substance use disorders
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• RTO must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
