American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN Nurse Navigator for a pediatric clinic role focused on GI and Pulmonary phone triage. NC or Compact RN license and clinic experience are required.

This non-patient-facing position covers GI and Pulmonary subspecialties, works 8 hours per day (7:45 AM–4:45 PM), with no on-call, no weekends, and flat hierarchy. Travel and licensing support available, plus a generous housing allowance.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in NC or Compact required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 2 years of clinic experience.
• Peds, GI, or Pulmonary experience preferred.
• Last 12 months of core work in unit specialty, recent within last year.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required.
• Minimum 1 professional reference within past year from supervisor/manager.

Responsibilities

• Pediatric clinic setting located within a hospital, covering GI and Pulmonary subspecialties.
• Non-patient-facing role focused on in-basket management and phone triage.
• Serves established patients ranging from children to adolescents up to 18 years old.
• Handles GI diagnoses such as constipation, reflux, hyperemesis, EOE, IBD, Crohn's, celiac disease, and blood in stool.
• Handles Pulmonary diagnoses such as asthma, bronchiolitis, ventilator/tracheostomy care, and cystic fibrosis.
• Manages phone triage, medication refills, and provider paperwork requests.
• 8-hour day shift schedule, 40 hours per week, 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM.
• No floating, no on-call or call-back, no weekend rotation.
• Orientation includes NEO and collaboration with other RN Navigators.
• Royal blue scrub color required; free employee parking deck.
• Clinical interview required; first-time travelers not considered.

• Clinical interview required, with final interview conducted by the manager
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
• Candidates must be separated from any AHSE facility for at least 1 year if previously in a permanent position
• Local candidates not accepted; 50-mile radius rule applies
