Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Outpatient Pediatrics RN for a Pediatric Urology Clinic. The role requires Epic experience and BLS certification, with 1–2 years of pediatric clinic exposure.

The position features a day shift (8:00 AM–4:30 PM) and a travel-friendly setup, including potential float to hospitals or affiliates, plus comprehensive benefits and housing support.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient Pediatric Urology Clinic setting
• Performs circumcisions, urinalysis, point of care testing, and urodynamic testing
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Candidates will float within the hospital or to a nearby affiliate hospital
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, specimen collection, procedure setup and assistance, and telephone triage
• Handles pharmacy refill requests and patient follow-up calls
• Performs venipuncture, capillary, throat, and urine specimen collection and labeling
• Assists with dressing changes, suture removal, and sterile procedure tray setup
• Conducts vital signs, pain assessments, and patient health history reviews
• Local candidates within 100 miles are not accepted for this position
• Previous permanent staff must have a gap of at least 6 months before returning as a traveler
• All requested time off must be disclosed prior to submission

• Active KY State or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required
• 1-2 years of pediatric clinic experience required
• Experience in Family Care Clinics, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, and Urology settings required
• Epic charting system experience required
• Skilled in assessments, specimen collection, urinalysis, and setting up/assisting with procedures
• Experience with telephone triage and pharmacy refill requests required
• At least one professional reference required for consideration
