Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Hays, Kansas. This 13-week travel assignment offers 36 hours per week with 12-hour day shifts in a Stepdown RN role.

Start date is 11/30/2026. Eligible candidates will have one year of Stepdown RN experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Additional PCCN and NIHSS certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed meds and treatments with cardiac focus.
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and exams.
• Maintain patient safety and comfort for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
