Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU — Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week travel assignment in Chicago, IL. The role focuses on telemetry patient monitoring, administering cardiac medications, and collaborating with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

The position requires one year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel benefits include competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, with 36-hour weeks on 12-hour day

Qualifications

• One year of Stepdown RN experience
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs and telemetry data.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac procedures and exams.
• Maintain awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiate patient education on cardiac health, risks and lifestyle changes.
