Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Mount Vernon, IL. The role offers night shifts and 36 hours per week in a progressive care unit.

As a Stepdown RN, you will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure patient safety and quality care. Requirements include one year of Stepdown RN experience, IL RN license, BLS, and ACLS.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
