Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing- Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Rockford, Illinois. The role offers 36 hours per week, with 12-hour day shifts and travel benefits.

Requirements include 1 year of Stepdown RN experience, active RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications. PCCN and NIHSS certifications are preferred. You will work in a high-acuity telemetry setting, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in good standing with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Progressive Care Certification (PCCN) preferred.
• NIHSS Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms and telemetry data to detect abnormalities.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Assist with cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and physical assessments.
• Initiate education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
