Job summary

TotalMed RN in Peoria, IL is seeking a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) travel nurse to join our 13-week assignment. The PCU RN will monitor cardiac patients, titrate IV medications, and provide bedside care in a fast-paced setting on 12-hour day shifts.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of recent acute care experience, BLS and ACLS, and be eligible for an Illinois RN license. Travel pay packages include weekly pay and benefits through TotalMed RN.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of recent acute care experience.
• Active RN license in Illinois or multistate license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• PCU/step-down experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize cardiac patients.
• Monitor and titrate IV medications and manage monitoring equipment.
• Document prescribed medications and report adverse reactions.
• Support rapid assessment and intervention for evolving patient conditions.
