Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Wichita, Kansas. The role requires 36 hours per week on a 12-hour night shift, with travel benefits.

You will monitor telemetry, administer meds, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care. Requirements include 1 year of stepdown RN experience, active RN license, BLS and ACLS.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments focusing on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and aids physician during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessment for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines.
