Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel RN for the PCU/Stepdown unit in Harrisburg, PA. This 13-week assignment offers 36 hours per week, 12-hour days, and competitive pay with benefits.

You will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. Requirements include a valid RN license, BLS and ACLS, and at least one year of Stepdown experience.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data, vital signs, and cardiac rhythms.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments per nursing protocols.
• Prepares equipment and assists with cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents patient status and notifies physician of changes.
• Responds to cardiac emergencies following standards and protocols.
• Records nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team for comprehensive care.
• Maintains patient and client confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within scope of practice.
