Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a travel nursing job in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

A Stepdown Registered Nurse provides care to patients transitioning from intensive care to general inpatient units, with telemetry monitoring and cardiac-focused interventions. The role requires an RN license, BLS, ACLS, and at least 1 year of Stepdown experience, plus strong teamwork and communication.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Maintains patient safety and comfort while coordinating with the medical team.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
