Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel PCU RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Mount Vernon, IL. The position runs on a 12-hour night shift with 36 hours per week, starting 09/28/2026.

Previous 1–2 years of acute care experience is preferred and the travel RN will work within the Progressive Care Unit to monitor cardiac patients and support stabilization as needed. As a PCU travel nurse you will operate monitoring equipment, manage IV therapy, and collaborate with the care team to provide

Qualifications

• RN with acute care experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIH certification or credential may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Administer and document prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor and interpret monitoring equipment and respond to changes.
• Initiate corrective actions based on monitoring data.
