Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a 13-week assignment in Rock Island, Illinois. This role provides care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements include one year of Stepdown RN experience, active Illinois RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. A supportive team and telemetry-focused responsibilities await in this travel position.

Qualifications

One year of recent Stepdown RN experience.
Current RN license in Illinois.
BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)

Responsibilities

Monitors cardiac rhythms, vital signs and telemetry data; responds to abnormalities.
Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
Maintains awareness of comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
Observes patient, records significant conditions and notifies physician of status.
Responds to life-saving situations per clinical standards in cardiac emergencies.
Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care.
Maintains patient confidentiality and adheres to safety protocols.
