Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a Stepdown RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Arlington, TX. This role offers the chance to work nights on a 12-hour shift with a 36-hour week, providing care to patients transitioning from ICU to med-surg settings.

Required qualifications include 1 year of stepdown experience, TX RN license, BLS, and ACLS. Preferred PCCN/NIHSS certifications may be considered. Excellent compensation and benefits accompany this opportunity.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in Texas.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitor telemetry data, validate rhythms and vital signs, and respond to abnormalities.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during cardiac-related procedures.
• Maintain patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Document nursing history and patient status; communicate with supervisors and physicians.
• Educate patients on cardiac health, risks, and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care.
