Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in La Mesa, California. The PCU RN will care for patients requiring close monitoring but not ICU-level care, with shifts of 12 hours across days. Requires 1–2 years acute care experience and ACLS/BLS/NIH certifications.

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience required.
• ACLS, BLS, NIH certifications required.
• Travel assignment: 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12-hour daylight shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and document prescribed medications and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Monitor patient condition with equipment, interpret displays, and report changes.
• Respond to abnormal readings and initiate corrective actions as needed.
