Job summary

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Redding, California. You will work 13 weeks on 12-hour days, with 36 hours per week in a fast-paced PCU setting.

The role requires 1-2 years of acute care experience, ACLS and BLS certifications, and readiness to handle cardiac monitoring and bedside care. A flexible mindset and ability to work across patient ages are essential.

Qualifications

• ACLs, BLS, NIH, 2 Years
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications.
• Monitor and adjust equipment and interpret electronic displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse symptoms.
