TotalMed is seeking a travel nurse RN for the PCU in Murrieta, CA. The position runs for 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts. Candidates should have 1-2 years of acute care experience and hold ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications.

Additional certifications may be required before starting. The PCU RN provides care to patients requiring close monitoring, using cardiac monitors and IVs, and may be referred to as a step-down nurse.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, NIH; 5 Years of experience noted in posting.

Responsabilités

• Provide basic bedside care; stabilize critical cardiac patients.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions.
• Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret displays.
• Initiate corrective action when monitoring shows adverse signs.
