Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an RN for a PACU role in California. The position requires an active CA RN license, BLS/ACLS, PALS within 1 year, and Epic EMR experience. 4x10 evening shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM are planned with patient care across age groups.

Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience is required; BSN preferred and experience in acute care settings is desirable. Local candidates are welcomed, and a CNA represents the role.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification required within 1 year of hire.
• IV Sedation competency required within 6 months of hire.
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience, with last 3 months in the specialty.
• BSN preferred and acute care facility experience preferred.
• No prior license actions permitted.

Responsibilities

• Surgical Recovery unit in an acute care hospital setting.
• 4x10 evening shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Epic EMR experience required.
• Provide nursing care for a designated group of surgical recovery patients across the age spectrum.
• Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate post-anesthesia patient care.
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into care plans.
• Delegate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff as appropriate.
• Position is represented by a collective bargaining unit (CNA).
• Candidates with more than 5 days of requested RTO will not be considered.
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction.
