Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. seeks a PACU RN for a 13-week day shift position requiring an MD or Compact RN license and 2+ years of PACU experience. The role is in a 16-bed PACU with a 1:4 patient ratio and a patient mix spanning pediatrics to geriatrics.

Shift is 3x12 hours (07:30–20:00) with weekend rotation, potential float to pre-op or sister facility, and Navy blue scrubs. First-time travelers with adequate PACU/ICU background are welcome.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or Compact.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS.
• Minimum 2 years PACU experience.
• First-time travelers with 3–5 years PACU or 2 years ICU experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• PACU unit with 16 rooms/beds.
• Day shift, 3x12 hours (07:30-20:00), 36 hours per week.
• Patient ratio of 1:4.
• Patient population from pediatrics to geriatrics.
• Diagnoses include orthopedic, neurology, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, thoracic, urology and gynecology.
• Every other weekend required (2 weekends per schedule cycle).
• Floating within specialty, rotating with pre-op for this contract.
• May float to a sister facility as needed.
• On-call not currently implemented for this unit.
• Provide post-anesthesia nursing care across a wide range of surgical specialties.
• Navy blue scrubs required.
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled.
• First-time travelers welcome with sufficient relevant experience.
