American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for day shift (3x10) in California. Requires CA RN license, Epic EMR experience, and travel nursing background.

Open to local candidates within 50 miles at local rate; travel compensation includes housing allowance and per diems. Position features a 3x10 schedule and responsibility for perioperative care across multiple surgical specialties.

Qualifications

• Active CA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred

Responsibilities

• PACU unit setting within an inpatient surgical hospital
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Day shift 3x10 hours, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
• Fixed schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients across orthopedics, neuro, cardiac, and general surgery
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from anesthesia including general, spinal, and MAC
• Airway and respiratory assessments for ventilated or extubated patients
• Local candidates within 50-mile radius for local rate eligibility
• Holiday coverage required for major holidays; RTO limited to 7 days per contract
• Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply

• Previous charge experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Day shift schedule, 3x10 hours, 8:00 AM-6:30 PM
• Fixed schedule of Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• Epic EMR experience required
• Provide pre- and post-operative care for surgical patients across a wide range of specialties including orthopedics, neuro, cardiac, and general surgery
• Monitor and manage patients recovering from various types of anesthesia including general, spinal, and MAC
• Perform airway and respiratory assessments, including care of ventilated or newly extubated patients
• Local candidates accepted at the local rate
• Must reside within a 50-mile radius to qualify for local rate
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, with only 1 holiday request approved per contract
• Holiday coverage required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
• Returning staff or travelers must have a 1-year separation before reapplying
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
