American Traveler is hiring an experienced PACU RN for a 13-week assignment at a community hospital in Greensburg, PA. Requires active PA or Compact RN license, BLS/ACLS/NIHSS, 1+ year PACU experience, and prior travel nursing background.

Responsibilities include Phase I PACU care, cardiac monitoring, and medication administration with a 9:00am-9:30pm day shift and rotating on-call. Housing, stipends, and benefits are offered.

Qualifikationen

• Minimum 1 year of PACU experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers not considered
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Knowledge of Malignant Hyperthermia Protocol, pain assessment/management, and RASS
• SSN, DOB, RTO, and valid driver's license required for consideration
• Two supervisor references preferred

• Work in the PACU of a community hospital
• Phase I PACU, Pre/Post surgical care, and Ambulatory/Outpatient settings
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Administers medications including narcotics/opioid analgesics and reversal agents
• Cares for patients recovering from anesthesia
• Handles surgical cases including ENT, Ophthalmology, Ortho, and Plastics
• Day shift 3x12 hours, 9:00am-9:30pm
• On-call includes one night per week and weekend calls
• Call shifts rotate on a 6-week schedule with 3 on-call shifts
• Floating within hospital and to sister facilities within 10 miles
• Provide direct recovery care to post-anesthesia patients
• Must reside >50 miles from facility; local candidates not accepted
• Willing to work every other holiday
• Traveling pairs accepted based on need
• Former employees may not be eligible within 2 years
• One-year limit on travel within health system; two-year break after
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, labs within 24-48 hours of signing
• Compliance cleared by Wednesday before start
• Pre-start orientation modules required

• Phase I PACU, Pre/Post surgical care, and Ambulatory/Outpatient settings
• Patient ratio of 1:2
• Cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition and management
• Administers medications including narcotics/opioid analgesics and reversal agents
• Cares for patients recovering from conscious sedation, general, local, MAC, and nerve block anesthesia
• Handles surgical cases including ENT, Ophthalmology, Ortho, and Plastics
• Day shift schedule, 3x12 hours, 9:00am-9:30pm
• On-call includes one night per week (9:30pm-7:00am) and weekend call (Saturday & Sunday)
• Call shifts rotate across a 6-week schedule totaling 3 of the 12-hour on-call shifts, which can be stretched across multiple weekends or consolidated into one
• Floating within the hospital required, with potential float to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Provide direct recovery care to post-anesthesia surgical patients, including monitoring, pain management, and dysrhythmia recognition
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
• Candidates must be willing to work every other holiday
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Former permanent employees are not eligible unless it has been at least 2 years since separation
• Travelers are limited to a cumulative one-year assignment within the health system, after which a two-year break is required before returning
• Fingerprinting, drug screening, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• Compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to the start date
• Approximately 1 hour of pre-start orientation modules must be completed before entering the facility
