Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an experienced PACU RN with cardiac procedure experience for a 13-week day shift assignment in New Orleans, Louisiana.

You will care for pre/post-operative cardiac patients in the PACU, manage perioperative nursing care, and support procedures including LHC, TAVR, ablations, TEE, and vascular work, while meeting unit standards and experience requirements.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (LA or compact) currently in hand.
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA certifications required).
• Minimum 2 years of experience required.
• PACU or Pre/Post Op background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care for pre/post-operative patients undergoing cardiac procedures in the PACU unit.
• Cardiology and cardiac procedure patient population.
• Special procedures include LHC, RHC, TAVR, ablations, TEE, cardioversion, loop recorders, pacemakers, and vascular procedures.
• Uses specialized equipment including vein finder and bladder scanner.
• Day shift, 10-hour shifts, either 0500-1530 or 0900-1930 depending on experience.
• Provide perioperative nursing care to cardiac patients.
• Must reside 65+ miles from the facility.
• Scrub color requirement: royal blue or white.
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position.
