Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a PACU RN with Maryland licensure and PALS certification to cover pediatric through adult patients. The role involves rotating day shifts with on-call requirements and weekend work, across PACU settings and related units.

You will provide post-anesthesia recovery care for pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients, with floating responsibilities across facilities and holidays as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Maryland or compact license.
• Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
• Experience caring for pediatric, adolescent, and adult PACU patients.

Responsibilities

• Work in the PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) setting.
• Patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
• Day shift position with rotating schedules (2x8 hours 07:00-15:30, 2x10 hours 07:00-17:30) within department hours of 07:30-20:30.
• Every other weekend required, inclusive of scheduled call.
• On-call required, typically three shifts per four-week period covering Friday nights, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
• Floating required within specialty, other units, and sister facilities within scope.
• Holiday coverage required as scheduled, inclusive of on-call responsibilities.
• Provide post-anesthesia recovery care across a range of patient ages.
