Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a CVOR RN with an active Michigan license, 2+ years CVOR experience, and Epic proficiency for a teaching hospital assignment.

The role involves day shifts (4x10s, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM), 2–3 days of on-call per week, and occasional float to the main OR within scope. Travel experience and RTO coordination are required for consideration.

Qualifications

• Active MI RN license required
• Minimum 2 years CVOR experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS (CNOR preferred)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Experience in CVOR, General OR, Hybrid OR, and Trauma settings required
• Orthopedic and Neurosurgery experience required
• Trauma Level II experience preferred
• 1:1 patient ratio experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Prior gap-free work history documentation required for consideration

Responsibilities

• CVOR unit within an acute care teaching hospital setting
• Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (5x8s also considered)
• On-call required 2-3 days per week
• Floating to the main OR as needed within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Holiday coverage required
• Uses Epic EMR
• Provide perioperative nursing care across a broad range of cardiovascular, vascular, orthopedic, neurological, and general surgical procedures
• Level II Trauma teaching hospital environment
• Free parking provided on-site
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates accepted with no radius restriction
• RTO must be submitted at the time of profile submission
