Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is seeking a Registered Nurse with CVOR experience to join our Cardiovascular OR team in Montana. The ideal candidate holds a Montana or Compact RN license, BLS and ACLS, and has at least 2 years of CV OR experience.

You will work in a high-volume OR with multiple specialties, including neuro, robotics, and pediatric cases. Responsibilities include performing 1-2 CV cases daily, cross-covering Main OR and OR North, and participating in a fast-paced, team-based

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Montana or Compact) currently in hand.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• CNOR and PALS certifications preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of CV OR experience.

Responsibilities

• Works in the Cardiovascular OR, one of 16 total ORs across the facility (Main OR: 10, OR North: 6).
• Handles CV cases including CABG, TAVR, AVR, MVR, sternotomy, thoracotomy/thoracoscopy, VATs, aortic repairs, fistulas, peripheral cases, fem-pops, carotid endarterectomies, and thoracic robotics (no ECMO).
• Performs 1-2 CV cases per day.
• Must also be willing to work in the Main OR for Peds and Adult cases including Neuro (cranies, vaults, EVDs, shunts, bolts), Trauma, Vascular, Surgical Oncology (Whipple), General, Urology, GYN, Thoracic, Robotics, ENT, Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Podiatry, Dental, Plastics, and Breast surgeries.
• In-room team includes 1 surgeon, 1 FA, 1 surgical tech, 1 PA, 1 RN, and 1 perfusionist.
• Uses Meditech EMR (preferred), Pyxis medication dispensing, and DaVinci XI robotic system.
• Floats into the Main OR and OR North within the same facility.
• 8-hour day shifts, 0700 start, Monday-Friday.
• Call rotation once every third day and once every third weekend, split with 2 other CVOR RNs, with a 30-minute response time.
• Serves as backup trauma call while on call.
• Fast-paced OR environment.
• Up to 1 week of orientation provided.
• May be required to take on-call shifts during holidays.
• RTO requests must be approved through the manager.
• Scrubs provided and free parking available.
• First-time travelers will be considered, though travel experience is preferred.

• Must be comfortable working across all OR specialties, not just CV, including high-level neuro surgeries, robotics (DaVinci XI and DV5), and pediatric cases
• IV starts and scrub experience preferred
