Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a 13-week assignment in Georgia. Requires 2+ years OR experience and GA or compact RN licensure, with BLS. ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities include a 1:1 patient ratio, day shift (6:45 AM–3:15 PM), and on-call duties 1–2 nights weekly and 1–2 weekends monthly. Housing and licensure reimbursements offered.

Qualifications

• Active GA or compact RN license required.
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience.
• Experience with charting system.
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred.
• Experience with thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, ortho/spine, and urology procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the OR unit within a hospital setting.
• Maintain 1:1 patient ratio.
• Day shift schedule (5x8 hours, 6:45 AM-3:15 PM).
• On-call 1-2 nights per week and 1-2 weekends per month; possible holiday call.
• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Travel experience is preferred but not required if OR experience meets minimum.

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of Operating Room experience required
• Any charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Experience with thoracic, general surgery, orthopedic, ortho/spine, and urology procedures preferred, including thoracotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, thyroidectomy, arthroscopy, spinal fusion, joint replacement, cystoscopy, nephrectomy, and prostatectomy
• Skilled in emergency management and fire safety protocols
• Experience with cell saver equipment
• Knowledgeable in administration of blood and blood products, infection control, laser and radiation safety, specimen handling/labeling, universal protocol (time out) procedures, and wound management
